Cleaning tiles and grout is one of the easiest when it comes to effort required in cleaning.

But some stains can remain back on the tiles and some stains and other particles can get stuck in between the tiles, the space known as grout which may contain materials such as white cement, metals, special sticky glues or sometimes even rubber! 

One of the biggest drawbacks of available liquid detergent and other tiles cleaning agents is that some of them are not effective in stain removal and most of them cannot be easy on grouts where most of the dirt sticks in.

  1. Vinegar
  2. It is basically weak acetic acid. Vinegar is also very effective in removing stains from sinks, tiles in the kitchen, living room, even the bathroom! However we advise you to not use vinegar on limestone, marbles and natural tiles. We also recommend first dilute the vinegar using warm water and allow it to settle for some time. Then this mixture can be sprayed on stains and grouts. And further cleaned by a mop or a brush which is better.
  3. Baking soda
  4. Baking soda is chemically Sodium bicarbonate or according to the IUPAC as Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, the former name. Usually apply the paste of baking soda on stains on the tiles and the grout. So as to remove the stain and particles stuck between them. First apply the paste , keep it for some time and then further remove them using warm water. It’s a very effective and eco-friendly method in Tile and Grout Cleaning.
  5. Vinegar and Baking Soda
  6. Well we have gone through the advantages of vinegar and baking soda. One can acknowledge that it's one of the best Eco friendly methods and easily available methods that can be done. The mixture of both vinegar and baking soda is one of the best DIY techniques for cleaning. Here Make & spray the solution of both vinegar and warm water first by applying the paste made by vinegar and baking soda and again spraying the mixture of vinegar and warm water.
  7. Lemon
  8. The working principle of lemon is the same as that of vinegar. Lemon contains citric acid which is a very similar weak acid. It is better if we use it with baking soda and also lemon is one of the oldest and eco-friendly cleaning agents that man knows of!
  9. Salt
  10. It is basically a combination of an acid and base, the acid part can react with the stain leaving a basic or alkaline medium which has the ability to resist bacterial growth which is usually associated with the stain.
